Aviator H. Connor Inscribed Photo With Famous Plane
Black and white photo of Harry Connor and the rest of the Lockheed Super Electra’s crew that made it around the world in 1938. Signed and inscribed by Connor in blue ballpoint pen as "To Bill Schneider, Best regards, Harry Connor, Navigator - Howard Hughes Lockhead ‘14’- World Flight - July 10-14 1938". Very light wear, in near fine condition. 7.8125" x 10.75".
A fantastic photo of the crew, including Connor, standing beside the plane that would make history. In July of 1938, Connor and the rest of the crew set out to make history with their Lockheed Martin plane. Traveling at a speed of 206.2 mph, the crew of three managed to fly around the world with a flight time of just 71 hours, 11 minutes, and 10 seconds.
