FRANK MYERS BOGGS (American 1855-1926) Colored Etching of the Grand Opera House in Paris. Pencil signed lower right and numbered 169 on the lower left. The plate mark sight measures 12 inches wide by 15 1/4 inches long. The glass covered frame measures 19 5/8 inches wide by 23 1/4 inches long. Frank Myers Boggs spent his formative and mature years abroad and in 1923 became a naturalized French citizen. He was born in Springfield, Ohio, but moved as a young boy to New York, where his father was a newspaper executive. He was a well known impressionist artist.
Condition
Not examined out of frame, some foxing and age browning to the margins.
