19th Century Medical Free Blown Leech Jar and Two Holders. (2) Very rare doctor's free blown colorless glass leech holders. These holders were to transport the leeches to the patient from the jar. Each holder has a small water drain hole hand cut in the top shoulder. (See photos) These holders are very scarce. We have never seen them before. The larger holder measures 3 1/4" diameter X 1 3/8" high. The smaller holder measures 2 7/8" diameter X 1 1/4" high. (1) Doctor's free blown colorless glass leech jar. Measures 4 1/8" high X 4" diameter. (1) Druggist glass mortar and pestle. The mortar is free blown. Pestle measures 4 1/2" long. From the Estate of Dr. Ronald Terhune. Condition- All leech jar and holders are in good condition. No chips or cracks. Mortar has one small chip at rim. See photos.
