Group of 19th C. Surgical Instruments, Trephine. (1) Surgeon's Trephine skull drill, 4 3/4" X 4 1/4". (1) Scale in wooden box, 5 1/2" long X 2 7/8" wide X 1" high. (1) Awful taste spoon, used for bitter medicines attached to a wooden display, 5 3/4" long. (2) 19th Century surgical instruments with bone handles and period case. One is marked, "Rogers Cutlers to Her Majesty." The other is marked, "IXL George Wostenholm Sheffield, England." (1) Bone handled surgical instrument, 5 1/2" long. Marked, "George Wostenholm." (1) Instrument with rose wood handle. Marked, "R. Best Sheffield, England." (1) Instrument with early black plastic handle. Marked, "J. Rogers & Sons, East Norfolk St., Sheffield, England. Measures 6 1/4" long. (5) Sterilized catgut glass tubes in leather pouch. (1) Instrument with mahogany handle. Marked, "Miller Bros." (1) Roll up surgeon's case with three instruments. Marked, "Germany." (1) (1) Antique thermometer, approx. 5" long. (1) Three blade 19th Century style bleeder. From the Estate of Dr. Ronald Terhune.
