Description
19th C French Second Empire (1852-1870) period mantel set of clock, green and black marble, bronze, with original cassolettes on their column. This rare one has an extra column on front, making it very impressive. All complete with a very nice mercury pendulum, bell, and key. Works, but as with all antique clocks, a revision is advised. In France, these clocks are called notary clocks, or pendule de notaire. Weight almost 80lbs. 18.5 inches H x 7 deep x 16 W. Garnitures measure 9.5 inches H x 7.5 diameter.
