(DRESS TO IMPRESS)
A collection of about 998 photographs, mainly Polaroids, documenting an individual cross-dressing over roughly three decades. An archive of daily snapshots capturing the self-presentation of an individual in their Massachusetts home. The images are self-portraits in similar poses wearing dresses, skirts, high heels, and more, some editorial, and others provocative self-styling. The collection includes 7 albums (with 331 Polaroids and 62 prints), one binder (with 361 early Polaroids), and 244 loose Polaroids. The Polaroids measuring 83x83 mm; 3¼x3¼ inches and 108x89 mm; 4¼x3½ inches, the chromogenic prints 86x124 mm; 3⅜x4inches, many of the images with a numeric notation in ink on recto. Circa early 1970s-early 1990s.
