Original silver-gelatin portrait photograph of an Egyptian woman touching an ancient Egyptian statue by the Andreas D.Reiser Studio of Alexandria and Cairo, Egypt. Circa 1895.
Signed and titled in the photograph at the bottom edge. Unmounted, unframed.
This is an original antique photograph, the image taken and the print made between 1895 - 1905.

CONDITION : Excellent condition. Good overall condition. No damage.
NOTES : Andreas D.Reiser (1840-1898). German photographer, born in Munich in 1840 and active as a photographer in Romania between 1872 -1883. In 1884 he left Romania and opened studios in Egypt, together with his brother-in-law. His studios, Atelier Reiser, in Alexandria and in Cairo became well-known for images of Egyptian scenes and it's people. He continued to work there for the rest of his life. After Andreas Reiser's death in 1898, his former partner Anton Binder and his son Lucien continued to run his Alexandria studio up until 1914.
