After Rufino del Carmen Arellanes Tamayo, Mexican, 1899 to 1991, oil on canvas painting depicting the Duality mural based on the rich mythology of the Aztecs and modern Mexican folklore. Created in 1964 for the opening of the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City museum. Dated 1976 lower right. Tamayo was active in the mid 20th century in Mexico and New York, painting figurative abstraction with surrealist influences. Mexican Paintings And Art Collectibles.
