Manufactured in Chicago by the L. Wolff Company, this is one of two original turn-of-the-century bathroom toilets that were in Mama Ringling's home, located at 821 Oak Street, in Baraboo, Wisconsin. The fixture was recently removed by the new owners of the house as part of a remodeling project. Approximately 123 years old Ð the house was built in 1900 Ð the toilet is in fine working condition, and could very easily be installed in your home, office, etc. IMAGINE IT: Any number of the Ringling boys, sister Ida, or even her two sons--the North kids--could and would have spent an uncalculated amount of quality time on this very seat of honor and necessity, reading Alf T.'s book, doing the daily crossword puzzle, or simply daydreaming. And just think of all the important show-business decisions that may have been reached while precariously perched atop its base. "Do we buy the Barnum show from Bailey's widow?" "Should we consider hiring a troupe of street kids from New York City that play basketball on unicycles?" And so on.
