Description
Famous circus bandleader MERLE EVANS and the RINGLING BROS AND BARNUM & BAILEY BAND appeared on the popular radio program FITCH BANDWAGON every year between 1943 and 1946. A punch-out circus wagon toy, complete with musicians, horses, and a photographic figure of Evans himself, along with the show's weekly host Phil Harris, was issued as a mail-out premium. Due to the fragility of such a toy, not many survived. When assembled, the wagon with horses and mounted musicians measures approx. 12" long x 8" high, and about 4" wide. Cond B-/C+, Flattened, with a few scattered mending tissue reinforcements, plus visible bends in cardboard, as seen in photos. NICE.
