Description
Three Sheet (approx. 42"x84"). Enquirer Printing Co, 1959. Sporting the classic imagery of a Roland Butler [artist] clown, this handsome bill screams Circus! The globe logo a direct steal of RBB&B's "Greatest Show on Earth" trademark screamed lawsuit, and the Beatty organization was sued for copyright infringement. In the cash settlement, CBCB was ordered to destroy or cover up all existing paper bearing the taboo logo. Finding anything that wasn't pasted over is a scarcity. This may be one of the finest examples of late 1950's large-format paper. Cond A-/B, Un-mounted, in two sections as originally printed, with folds.
