Al contropiatto è incollato un foglio con la « Notice jusitficative d’attribution » di Robert d. Valette. Si unisce trascrizione dattiloscritta su quattro pagine. Buono stato di conservazione. Lettera inviata al notaio Gaufridy, che amministrava le proprietà dle marchese in Provenza: « je vois avec douleur Mon cher avocat ». La lettera menziona conti e controversie in denaro, in particolare con la suocera di Sade, la presidente di Montreuil. Vede "con dolore" che lo stato che ha ricevuto è "molto difettoso, che c'è un'oblio prodigioso e che l'oblio che di conseguenza forma un supplemento [...] darà molto umorismo a Md de Montreuil [...]". Gli chiede di rettificare al più presto i conti e di inviarli all'abate de Sade, suo fratello. Allude alla disgrazia del ministro La Vrillière (che era molto interessato allo scandalo dei giovani marsigliesi avvelenati con cantaride da Sade nel 1772) e lo incarica di trovargli "due cavalli o muli e una carrozza per Madame [de Sade] al funzionario di Marsiglia che l’aspetta”. Trascrizione completa dattilografata e precisa analisi del testo del Libraio Robert D. Valette, che aveva acquistato la lettera nel 1977, secondo quanto dichiarato in una nota manoscritta : a lui dobbiamo anche la datazione. Cfr. On insidecover glued a sheet with the « Notice jusitficative d’attribution » by Robert d. Valette. It’s bound a typewritten on four pages. Good condition.
Letter sent to the notary Gaufridy, who administered the properties of the Marquis in Provence: «je vois avec douleur Mon cher avocat». The letter mentions money accounts and disputes, especially with Sade's mother-in-law, the president of Montreuil. She sees "with pain" that the state she has received is "very defective, that there is a prodigious oblivion and that the oblivion which consequently forms a supplement [...] will give much humor to Md de Montreuil [ ...]". She asks him to rectify the accounts as soon as possible and to send them to the Abbé de Sade, her brother. He alludes to the misfortune of the minister La Vrillière (who was very interested in the scandal of the young Marseilles poisoned with cantharide by Sade in 1772) and instructs him to find for him "two horses or mules and a carriage for Madame [de Sade] for the Marseille official who l 'Wait".Complete typewritten and precise analysis of the text by the bookseller Robert D. Valette, who had purchased the letter in 1977, according to what was declared in a handwritten note: we also owe him the dating.
