Description
AS LAMPS. Late 19th, early 20th century, China. 1) Blue and white example depicting scholars examining a scroll in a stylized landscape with clouds fitted with a two light fixture. 2) Decorated with a peacock amidst polychrome peonies and conifers on a cream ground, joined to a hardwood base fitted with a single socket fixture. SIZE: Vases are 16" and 16 1/2" respectively. PROVENANCE: From the John Webber Estate of Bangor, Maine. CONDITION: Blue and white vase with a break and repair. Peacock is good with strong palette. (05-621, 05-622/TG). $200-400.
