Pair of Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Vases, Republic period (1912-1949), now mounted as lamps, each of the two rectangular vases decorated with bird and flower images and inscribed with poetic lines, base, h. 11", overall, h. 22-1/2", w. 4-1/8".

In overall good condition. Scattered firing anomalies, small losses to enamels, and a few minor nicks along the edges of each vase correlating with age, material and use. The bases have been drilled for lamp wiring, but the mouth of each piece remains intact. No visible cracks or evidence of restoration.
