DESERT.". Beneath the image lower left "COPYRIGHT 1883, BY CURRIER & IVES, N.Y.". Below the lower right margin "PRINTED IN OIL COLORS BY CURRIER & IVES, 115 NASSAU ST. NEW YORK". Housed under glass in its original molded frame, engraved on lower molding "BOSTON & BANGOR S.S. CO." PROVENANCE: This was lot 205 in Thompson Auction. SIZE: Overall 32 1/2" x 44 1/2". CONDITION: generally very good, some toning and foxing. (05-355/TG). $1,500-2,500.
