Large Chinese 19th Century black & 2 color gold lacquer Fan, well painted on Paper with a Mandarin Court Scenes in a Garden Pavilion on 1 side with each figure wearing an appliqued silk painted gown, the reverse with Birds & Flowers on metalic paper and both sides with either small landscapes or butterflies and flowers; together with the Original fitted black & gold lacquer hinged Storage Box with silk lining and a hand painted flower & bird inside cover. Length of box 17 1/2 inches (44.5 cm.).

The Lacquer work with light age related wear, the paper with light age related wear to folds and top edge with small tears; the box with small chips and shrinkage lines.
