The tablet is dated to the month (damaged and unreadable) and year, the 4th year of King Amar-Suen of Ur, ca. 2042 BCE and has been fully translated by Renee Kovacs as follows:

Ur III Administrative Tablet
Account of personnel and administrators involved in agriculture.

This large tablet is a long list of personal names of workers and supervisors involved in agricultural work. The tablet is complete, with five columns on obverse and on reverse. The obverse surface is clean and can be completely read, but the reverse is encrusted and will be best read after cleaning. Such large tablets were compiled from other smaller lists of personnel; the colophon (reverse lower left corner) states that this is an “audit” of the conscripted workers.
