A rare copy of the hardcover book 'A.E. Backus : Florida Artist', signed by the author, Olive Dame Peterson. This out-of-print book was published in 1984 and details the career of A.E. Backus, as well as provides some of the iconic scenes and paintings by the artists. It is said that the images in this book served as a template for many of the Highwaymen painters familiar images.
