VICTORIAN DECORATED CERAMIC AND BRASS KEROSENE VASE LAMP, tan ground with white enamel raised floral and insect decoration vase holder, each side with scroll and gilt decorated flowing arms with acanthus leaves, vase holder supported by a pedestal foot, underside inscribed "6017", fitted on a cast brass foot with scrolls and medallions ornamentation, underside impressed "B. S. 149", interior of vase with brass font holder lining, matching decorated ceramic drop-in font and shoulder cover, underside with matching impressed number of "6017", No. 2 brass collar impressed for Hinks & Sons. Fitted with a period setup comprising a duplex burner, impressed on deflector "IMPROVED DUPLEX", colorless with frosted finish cylinder-form shade with heart and bulge embossing, acid-etched stylized floral pattern. Non-period colorless slip chimney. Probably J. Hinks & Sons. Fourth quarter 19th century. 25" H to top of shade, 15 1/2" H to top of collar, 6" SQ overall foot. Shade 8" H, 4" D fitter.

Undamaged lamp. Burner and chimney undamaged, shade fitter with several flakes and a shallow small chip along with as-made roughness.
