BRASS DE-KERAVENAN-JONES KEROSENE MECHANICAL STAND LAMP, gilt decorated, globular-form font vase form font vase holder, base impressed with patent date of "MAY 29, 1866", slightly tapered cylinder-form base with circular-form stepped foot, winding mechanism with iron key to side of stem and in un-working condition, winds freely, removable font with colorless attributed Dyotts glass base and brass shoulder, Fitted with a period burner, thumbwheel marked "C. W. Brown & Co." Third quarter 19th century.11 3/4" H to top of font, 5 3/8" D foot.
