1804 Victor Moreau French Revolution Campaigns Napoleon Bonaparte Italy Avallon
Jean Victor Moreau was an 18th-century French military officer known for his role in helping Napoleon gain political and military prominence. Moreau commanded French forces during the French Revolutionary wars, particularly the Army of Italy. However, Moreau would begin to disagree with Napoleon so much so that he would be banished from France and settle in America.
Aside from Moreaus own autobiography, author Charles Yves dAvallons “History of General Moreau” is one of the best accounts of the campaigns and military career of Moreau.

Shepard Kosciuszko Kollock Sr. (1790-1865), an American preacher and professor of rhetoric and logic. He was also the son of Shepard Kollock (1750–1839), an editor and printer, who was active in colonial New Jersey during the period of the American Revolutionary War. His newspaper, The New Jersey Journal (later Elizabeth Daily Journal), was a driving force in galvanizing support and disseminating information about the Revolutionary War efforts. He also held various government positions in the newly founded state of New Jersey during the early 1800s.
