AN UNUSUAL EARLY 18TH CENTURY EIGHT-DAY LONGCASE CLOCK the pitch pine case with barley twist columns running down the hood, trunk and base, trunk door having a D-moulded edge and glass lenticle, the 12" square brass dial with gilt winged cherub head spandrels and silvered chapter ring surrounding a matted engraved centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture fronting an eight-day weight driven movement with square steel pillars striking the hours on a bell.
