Southeast Asia, Laos, Thailand, and Northern Vietnam, Hmong or Miao peoples, ca. 18th to 19th century CE. A discoid hair ornament shaped from delicate 97.44% silver filigree in a radial pattern. The solar motif consists of slender triangular bands emanating from a central medallion with a raised boss, and behind is a lengthy, narrow pin. Size: 5.1" W (13 cm); 7.75" H (19.7 cm) on included custom stand; silver quality: 97.44%; total weight: 39.9 grams
