(London): R(obert). Havell, (1836). Hand-colored engraving with aquatint and etching, on J. Whatman watermarked paper, dated 1836. Engraved, printed, and colored by Robert Havell after Audubon. Edges trimmed close to plate-mark; mat burn; scattered foxing; bottom right corner and edge repaired on verso; top right corner chipped. 28 1/8 x 23 1/2 in. (714 x 597 mm). Plate LVII from Audubon's The Birds of America (London, 1827-38). "Painting and plate depict two birds at the top of a dead tree, around which twines a Hagbrier.
