Pre-Columbian, Central America, Costa Rica, ca. 800 to 1200 CE. A set of 2 hand-built pottery bowls, each with highly burnished surfaces and painted linear motifs. One bowl features an upturned mouth while the other has a slender rim and a deep basin. Size of largest (wide bowl): 7.25" W x 3" H (18.4 cm x 7.6 cm)

Condition
Both with small chips, light abrasions, fading to pigment, and the larger with a slender hairline fissure stemming from the rim, otherwise both are intact and very good. Nice preservation to decorative motifs.
