J.E Caldwell & Co French Neoclassical Marble Mantle Clock - 19th century. A fine mantle clock of marble casing, with neoclassical patinated bronze relief panels an mounts. The dial features a girl bronze relief medallion with a lion head and an enamel plaque stating "J.E. Caldwell Philadelphia". With French Works marked with a Ship pictograph with initial JLF and EMF on its sails (probably for French maker Etienne Maxant / J. Lefebvre Fils) and #7374. Dimensions: 10 1/2" h x 15 7/8" L x 6" d. Condition: minor age appropriate wear, numbers on dial have some rubbing losses. Includes two winding keys.
