A FRENCH NEOCLASSICAL REVIVAL POLISHED PORTORO MARBLE MANTLE CLOCK GARNITURE, EARLY 20TH CENTURY, the circular glass domed and beaded bronze bezel opening to a white enamel dial, enclosing black Arabic hour numerals and quarter-hour numbers above painted floral festoons, centering delicately engraved and reticulated gilt metal hands over twin key escapements, verso a pierced gilt door opening to brass clockworks numbered 813 and stamped pastille "MÉDAILLE D'OR / F. Marti / PARIS ? 1900," over "5 2," suspending a steel rod pendulum with circular brass bob stamped "813 / 5 2," set within a cylindrical case on a stylized scrolling brackets form base with a conforming paneled front over a rectangular plinth with a shaped serpentine apron ending as block corners and raised on domed gilt bronze feet, height: 12", width: 15 3/4", depth: 5 1/4"; together with a pair of matching tazzas, height: 7 3/4", diameter: 6 3/4". Provenance: Expert Clock Repair Inc. Houston, Texas.

Condition

Good condition with some minor tiny edge nicks, worn with oxidized spots on gilt bronze. Brass clockworks are very clean and appear to be in good shape.
