Description
J. & E. Stevens, American. Cast iron, glass, and pigment "Owl Turns Head" mechanical coin bank, ca. 1880. When the lever along the back is pressed down the owl turns its head to move the coin into the bank. Marked along the underside. The plug is missing.
Height: 7 1/2 in x width: 3 3/4 in x depth: 3 in.

Condition
The bank functions. Losses to the painted decoration and wear throughout consistent with age and use. The plug along the bottom is missing.
