Description
Early 20th century Chinese fan. With profuse calligraphy throughout and housed in a frame under glass.

Condition
The fan has been laid down on to a paper backing. There is a series of losses throughout, visible in the lot listing. Light scratches and signs of wear throughout, consistent with age and use as a fan. Creases throughout consistent with use as a fan. Some light wear to the paper backing including a large rip along the lower right corner, some creases, and some light stains. It is hinged with framer's tape along the top left and right edges; the tape along the top right edge has broken and it is loose on this edge. There is a pencil inscription along the verso of the paper reading "L79.190.31." Light wear to the frame; framed under glass.
