[WWII]. Salvage piece from B-17 My Gal Sal, plus. 

7 1/ x 7 3/4 in. aluminum skin from the original B-17E My Gal Sal with later decoration applied, accompanied by a receipt from the Ultimate Sacrifice Memorial Foundation attesting to the authenticity of the piece. Additional background material related to the bomber, its Arctic rescue, and its restoration is also included. My Gal Sal had been forced to make an emergency landing on the Greenland icecap in 1942 while on a flight from the U.S. to England. The plane was rediscovered in 1964 and recovered in 1995. 

[With:] A binder housing background material, modern photographs, and documentation related to the discovery of the The Lady Be Good, an American bomber which crashed in the Saharan desert in 1943.  -- A binder housing dive reports from the underwater exploration of a multitude of submerged Japanese military ships and airplanes.

[Also with:] A piece of fabric identified as coming from Hurricane P3536 shot down 13 October 1940 during squadron patrol over Chatham.
