Chinese Qing Dynasty Kangxi Red Glaze Porcelain Brush washer. Potted with a shallow body, slight deep, short neck with open round center, dome body, raised on round foot base slight concave. Warm and uniform red glaze applied to the whole surface, only the upper mouth rim and outer bottom is white glazed. Red is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Qing Dynasty. The red color of the packet symbolizes good luck, corresponding with fire, good fortune and joy. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Kangxi Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
