Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Sacrificial Red Porcelain Celestial Vase On Carved Hardwood Stand. Potted in celestial shape vase, thick and tall, globular lower body, cylindrical neck, close mouth rim, raised on a short small round foot base slight concave. Warm and uniform red glaze applied to the whole surface, only the upper mouth rim and outer bottom is white glazed. Red is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Qing Dynasty. The red color of the packet symbolizes good luck, corresponding with fire, good fortune and joy. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
