A French Empire-style mantel clock
Mid-19th century
Movement marked with various numerical markings
The portico mantle clock with two-train movement, black Arabic numerals on the enameled metal dial, circular beveled glazing, and a gilt-bronze-ornamented brass case, all set upon an architectural clack and white marble base accented with figural masks, putti bearing garlands, and foliate mounts, surmounted by an eagle finial

Condition

Overall fair to good condition with scattered scuffs, light scratches, and oxidation commensurate with age. There are multiple bronze mounts that have detached from the body of the clock, including the pendulum, some of which are retained. As well, there is heavier surface grime, discoloration/staining, and adhesive residue to the marble base. Working condition unknown.
