THREE IRON-RED AND GILT-DECORATED DISHES 'Ladies' dishes: Kangxi period; 'Sanduo' dish: Tongzhi seal mark, late Qing dynasty Comprising a pair of 'ladies' dishes with scalloped rims, each with a pair of women in a garden in the central medallion, the cavetto with pomegranate-form cartouches enclosing alternating scenes of potted flowers and birds on blossoming branches, further flowers and butterflies between the cartouches, the verso with two floral sprigs in iron red; and a dish with a gently lobed rim, centered with a gourd surrounded by three large clusters of peach, pomegranate, and 'Buddha's hand' citron, and a shou character ringed by five bats, the reverse with five further bats, the base with a four-character seal mark in iron red. 8 7/8in (22.5cm) diam.
