A CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN 'JEPHSON IMPALING CHASE' ARMORIAL DISH Yongzheng/Qianlong period, circa 1735 The rounded lower body rising to a wide, everted hexagonal rim, the interior painted with a large armorial of Jephson impaling Chase featuring a crest bearing three cockerel heads, four crosses, and a lion, framed by elaborate foliage and surmounted by a helmet and a raised arm grasping a floral sprig, a scrolling banner beneath the armorial, the cavetto with two bands of gilt fleur de lis, the rim with six reserved leaf-shaped cartouches, one containing a further arm grasping a floral sprig and the other five each containing flowers, all against an iron-red diaper ground, the reverse unadorned. 9 3/4in (24.5cm) wide Footnotes: Provenance: Robert Fisher Ltd., London, by repute (according to label) See another dish of this type from the Andrew Hartnagle Collection, sold at Sotheby's, New York, 12 August 2020, lot 287; and a pair from the James F.
