Jack Ruby Signed Silver Spur Bank Check
Jack Ruby (1911-1967). Partially Printed Document Signed, "Jack L. Ruby”, 1p, 8.25" x 3", Dallas, Texas, November 5, 1951. Bank check No. 2089 in the amount of $225.00, payable to Charley Streight, who endorses the verso. Silver Spur logo at top left. Certified and encapsulated by PSA/DNA to an overall size of 12.125" x 5.5". In fine condition. Accompanied by a JSA Letter of Authenticity.
In 1947, Ruby moved to Dallas in 1947 where his sister, Eva Grant, lived. They built a dancehall that served beer called the Singapore Supper Club, later renamed the Silver Spur, and ran it together until she returned to the West Coast.
