Edo Period, consisting of a late Meiji Period (1868-1912) brown lacquered 'tabako-ire' (tobacco case) with hinged sides opening to an interior housing a removable compartment, secured by a woven black cord, surface abrasions, measuring 5 3/4" high x 4 3/4" wide, together with a late Tokugawa Period (1603-1867) brown lacquered metal 'kayakuire' (powder flask) tethered to a bone ojime with a woven black cord, cracking & bruising, measuring 4 1/2" high x 4" wide, and lastly a natural material covered trousse fitted with a knife & pair of chopsticks, tethered to a braided silk tassel with jade beads, losses, blade rusted. Measuring, 11 1/2" long.
