Description
This incredibly rare reproducer with its beautifully embossed and engraved housing has its original gold plating in very good condition. The engraving features the Victor trademark in numerous places as well as the words Victor #10 and patent information. Has its original needle bar and thumb screw in good condition. Has its original diaphragm however the small metal disc in the center of the diaphragm has become detached. Has its original rubber back flange in average condition. This beautiful highly sought after and rarely seen reproducer is most likely the rarest of all Victor reproducers. This was introduced in 1904 and was a $10 option intended to be used with the newly introduced Victor #VI outside horn phonograph. Very few were produced and it was discontinued shortly after its introduction and replaced by a concert or exhibition reproducers. It comes in a presentation box however the box is from a standard exhibition reproducer. A real treasure from the Wayne Wolf Collection.
