This impressive early machine in its mahogany cabinet has its original finish which is in very good condition. The cabinet has its corner columns and gold plated capitals that are nicely in tact and present as well as having nice tight corners. Please note that this is the earliest variant of the outside horn Victor 6. Unique to these early models is that it has a yielding ball bearing turntable as well as the Arabic Number 6 on the ID tag as opposed to Roman Numeral VI. Also the cabinets are slightly dimensionally smaller cabinets in these models as well as the early style nickel plated three spring motor. Has a gold finish round hole exhibition reproducer. The tone arm, horn elbow, and horn elbow hold down all have their original gold plating in good condition with some minor wear as well as two minor dents towards the rear of the tone arm and a small dent on the elbow. The back bracket has its original black paint and pinstripes in very good condition. Has its original slotted winding crank and bullet break with the usual wear. Motor winds and runs. Also included is an incredibly rare 24" L papier mache horn with a 16-3/4" D bell. The interior of the horn has its original bright red paint with some minor edge damage and crazing in the finish but is in overall good condition. The outside of the horn has its original black paint and decal in overall good condition with a few minor scrapes and dings. A nice example of an extremely rare horn Quite possibly the rarest of all Victor horns. Cabinet measures 15-1/2" X 15-1/2" X 8-1/2" T..
