Description
Emile Berliner (1851-1929) was an inventor who developed the disc phonograph record, the microphone and the helicopter. The letter is typed on Laboratory Emile Berliner stationery dated April 7, 1913 to Joseph Sanders. The letter lays out an agreement for Sanders to receive a commission of $20,000 and 1 cent per pound for record material sold in Canada. Berliner was president of Berliner Gramaphone Canada and Sanders was his nephew who ran the record pressing plant Polyphonwerke Aktiengesellschaft in Germany. Letter is in fine condition with folds. Strong signature in ink. Berliner signatures are rare. Measures 8.5" X 11". Provenance: the Howard Hazelcorn collection.
