Item Details

Description

A scarce color enameled bronze pin submitted by Nazi Germany to be the official participant badge of the 1936 Berlin Olympics, but later rejected due to the presence of a swastika. The badge is 1.75 in. diameter, with a Nazi eagle above the Olympic rings on the obverse along with the name and year of the games. The reverse is marked by the maker 'H. Osang Dresden.' Light discoloration, else fine.
