Late 18th, early 19th century. A stunning Chinese export bowl with gray and black floral motif. Finished along the inside with a gold and black trim. Unmarked. Measures 11.5" d x 5" h.

From the estate and lifelong collection of William Garrett Hodges (1946-2014). Hodges was a Virginia-based dealer of fine arts, with specialization in prints and rare books, having collected for decades. He supplied and consulted various groups on antiquities throughout his career, including the White House, the Vice President's residence, the FBI, and multiple film and television series.
