Pre-Columbian, south coast Peru, Proto Nazca culture, ca. 500 - 100 BCE. Woven textile apron in zigzag, eye-dazzling colors - red, yellow, black, cream, green; string on upper end used to tie around hip, while lower end having long, flowing black human hair. Extremely rare to find a more than 2000 year old textile in such remarkable condition, still-vibrant colors and so fragile human hair. Museum-quality mount. Textile itself measures 29"L x 10"W. Provenance: Ex-prominent Los Angeles, CA collection, ex-Westermann Collection, Germany.
