Large Japy Freres & Cie (French, founded 1806-c. 1930), gilt bronze mounted onyx mantel clock in the Louis XVI taste, 19th century, surmounted by two putti weaving a rose garland, the dial with Roman numerals, and body with beaded trim, the movement stamped with 1853 New York Exhibition 1st Class Medal.

Condition
Loss of gilding, repairs and chips to onyx, beaded trim is loose, mechanism door is bent and glass is missing, key and pendulum are not present - would recommend a professional servicing.
