Two page inked manuscript on single folded letter sheet 7 ½ x 12 ½” dealing with the case of Joseph Graves of Mason Co. Kentucky vs his brother in law and sister dispute over the payment for slaves from their fathers estate in Frederick Virginia, dated 1830. This document is written by a friend of Joseph supporting his claim to have paid Finch & wife their proper share for said slaves signed by James ?. Docketed on reverse with date of 15 Nov. 1830. Condition normal folds with some separation at same and toning.
