Five page inked document of two folded 7 ½ x 12 ½” letter sheet detailing the complaint of William Finch and his wife Delila late Delila Graves and William Finch and his wife late Manain Graves against the wives brother Joseph Graves,all children of Charles Graves of Frederick Co., Virginia. Reading in part:They further state that the said Elizabeth Graves (wife of Charles & mother of most in complaint) left three slaves namely Richard, Milles & Dilee, being part of the slaves of the said Charles Graves deceased...In this will that after the accounts of his widow the slave should be sold and that that too by his executors, and the proceeds divided among his twelve children… Document continues for two more pages with further details of how Joseph cheated his brothers and sisters of their share of their fathers estate.
