This important Congressional "Act" under new president George Washington, measures about 7.75" x 11.25", 1 page, Philadelphia. Titled: "Congress of the United States: at the Third Session, Begun and held at the City of Philadelphia, on Monday the Sixth of December, one thousand seven hundred and ninety." Signed in printed type by Frederick Augustus Muhlenberg, Speaker of the House; John Adams, Vice President and President of the Senate; and Approved by George Washington, President of the United States, March the Third, 1791. This Act gave payments to various Government workers for the moving of Congress from New York to Philadelphia. Choice in eye-appeal, bold printed text on high quality watermarked laid period paper that is extremely clean and crisp. A scarce, original early federal ACT.
