Description
Hank Aaron Signed Baseball. With Steiner Authentication.
Baseball signed "Hank Aaron" in blue ink on the sweet spot of an official Rawlings Allen H. "Bud" Selig era Major League baseball. Slightly toned and scuffed, else fine and boldly signed with a Steiner sports hologram on the baseball.
Hank Aaron was an American professional baseball player and was widely regarded as one of the greatest hitters in the history of the sport. Aaron played for the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves and the Milwaukee Brewers during his 23-year career in Major League Baseball.
Perhaps best known for breaking Babe Ruth's career home run record, Aaron hit 755 home runs during his career and held the record for 33 years until it was broken by Barry Bonds in 2007. He also won the National League MVP award in 1957 and led the Braves to a World Series championship in 1957.
Off the field, Aaron was a civil rights activist and spoke out against racism in baseball and society at large. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982 and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2002. Aaron passed away on January 22, 2021, leaving behind a legacy as one of the greatest players and humanitarians in the history of American sports.
