Two Japanese folk art masks. Possibly Kamakura period, 1185-1333. Large carved polychrome wood masks, each measuring approximately 13.5" high, 10.5" wide and 6" deep. Polychrome pigments and lacquer over wood. Housed in stacking lacquer boxes with signed lid. Overall measurement of the box,13.5" x 15.5" x 14.5" high.
