A Japanese Inlaid Wood and Lacquer Box
circa 1900, signed to interior of sliding lid "Nihon Shizuoka Sato Seizo," marquetry inlaid mixed wood panel exterior, sliding door raises to reveal three drawers with auspicious fruit pulls of pomegranate, double gourd, and persimmon, decoration of a kettle and two cups below a large branch of plum blossoms, interior of drawers have maki-e lacquer decoration.

Top wooden section to sliding front panel has been repaired; sliding front panel doesn't fully align with sides of box; some wood stress cracks; some wear to corners; top panel may have been re-attached and handle removed and area repaired; a few minor scratches.
